Drugs are made up of two main parts: active and inactive parts.  The active part is essentially the medicine you are buying and varies depending on the condition you want to treat.  For example, if pain is treated, the active ingredient is acetaminophen.  The active ingredients come in different doses depending on the condition and age of the person for whom the drug is designed.

 Inactive parts of a drug

The inactive part of the drug forms the bulk of the drug and often does not cause interaction with the main component.  Like active ingredients in medicine, inactive ingredients are different from medicine.  There are several types of these ingredients, the most common:

Artificial sweeteners: They are designed to make drugs sweeter to take.  There are many types of artificial sweeteners on the market, but the most common are: aspartame and saccharin.  Aspartame is widely used in chewable tablets and sugar-free formulations.  On the other hand, saccharin is used in almost all oral medications, both solid and liquid.  It is usually not included in the labeling of the drug, making it difficult to detect when it is present.

Benzyl alcohol: Benzyl alcohol is used as a preservative in many drug and injection solutions.  While there are some people who are allergic to benzyl alcohol, studies show that small doses have no effect on both adults and children.

Coloring agents: These are dyes that are designed to give drugs a distinct and identifiable look.  The most common dyes used are: tartrazine azo dye, neutral red dye and many more.

Lactose - widely used as a diluent or filler in capsules and tablets.  It is used to add volume to the powder.

Propylene glycol: Glycol is used as a medicine in oral, topical and injected drugs.

 Guide to purchasing materials.

If you are a manufacturer of drugs, you should be careful where you buy them.  As a general rule, be sure to buy them from a reputable store.  Stores should follow regulatory guidelines in all areas of drug manufacturing.  This includes: labeling, packaging, repackaging and others.  There should also be strict confidentiality of the customer in the store where he should not disclose the information given by you.

To find a reputable store, you should take time to research.  Before coming to a contract with a certain company, take time to read past customer reviews.
